The objectives of the Telangana Journalist and Reporter Association (TJRA) are:

(a) **Elevate Professional Status**: To enhance the status and recognition of members within the journalism profession.

(b) **Foster Cooperation**: To cultivate a spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding among journalists.

(c) **Uphold Professional Standards**: To promote and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity.

(d) **Improve Working Conditions**: To strive for the improvement of working conditions for journalists, including fair salary, job security, and favorable service conditions, while preventing socially irrelevant automation.

(e) **Safeguard Interests**: To protect and advance the general interests of journalists, providing necessary assistance to members in securing employment.

(f) **Promote Social Activities**: To enhance amenities for recreation and foster social and cultural activities among members.

(g) **Provide Financial Security**: To establish and manage funds for legal aid, unemployment support, retirement benefits, and other related provisions.

(h) **Negotiate Wage Agreements**: To negotiate wage agreements on a regional or national level, acting as an intermediary between employers and employees, and providing support during trade disputes or instances of unfair treatment.

(i) **National and International Representation**: To secure representation for the union in national and international organizations, fostering friendly relationships with them.

(j) **Champion Press Freedom**: To advocate for the freedom of the press.

(k) **Legislation for Journalists' Welfare**: To work towards and promote legislation that benefits working journalists.

(p) **Affiliation with International Unions**: To affiliate with international journalist unions that adhere to the rules and constitution of TJRA.
